I really don't think something like this should ever be classified as photography. Art perhaps but not photography. I think the extent of editing that could still result in a photograph still being called a photograph should be in line with more traditional film photography such as dodging and burning.
That being said, these photo edits are really cool.

Very original in concept, I particularly liked the walled garden and the cinema allusions(Harold Lloyd and Potemkin).
